Pammal (Tamil: பம்மல்) is a town in Kancheepuram district in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. It is a populated neighbourhood of the city of Chennai. Pammal is home to more than 250,000 people. Some world class leather skins are prepared in and around Pammal. Pammal Vijayaranga Sambandha Mudaliar, the father of modern Tamil theatre born in pammal. It is very close to Chennai International Airport (MAA). Pammal also has good schools like Sri Sankara Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Holy Queen Matric School, St. Sebastian Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Apple kids - "International Pre-School", JC Academy - "The School" and Saradha Matriculation school. Meenakshi Krishnan polytechnic is a famous polytechnic college in pammal, which is situated in Gandhi main road at sankar nagar. It is a very good place to live peacefully. It is also the birth place of Pammal Sambandanaar. Many departmental stores, Gym, hotels and coaching institutes are situated at Krishna Nagar, Muthamizh nagar, Pammal. Pammal is the second richest panchayat union in India after Ambattur.

For an important residential area, the roads of Pammal are very narrow. Among these, Nalla Thambi Road and Kalaignar Road are the major ones. Pammal post office has been shifted to a new location at Sindhalamman koil street near Pammal market.
