Paloma

Paloma or Palomma is a female given name. Which means dove, derived from Latin "palumba". The name can be understood to mean the Christian symbol of The Holy Spirit in this bird. "Palomma", using double "m", came into the neapolitan version.[1][2]

"La Festa della Palomma" is celebrated every Easter on Chiesa della Madonna della Nova (Church of Our Lady of Nova) at Ostuni a city and comune in the province of Brindisi (Puglia, Italy). The Roman Catholic Church, especially in Madrid celebrate Saint Paloma every year on August 15, which is the name day for "Paloma".[3]
