Palaeopleurosaurus is an extinct genus of diapsid reptile belonging to the Order Sphenodontia.
Palaeoleurosaurus fossils were discovered in Bavaria, Germany from Toarcian (Early Jurassic) deposits. It is one of the few known aquatic sphenodontians.
