The Pait (Puntius amarus) is a species of ray-finned fish in the Cyprinidae family that is found only in the Philippines. A benthopelagic fish that requires a freshwater environment; it was first identified from specimens collected from Lake Lanao in 1910 and 1922; specimens were still present as recently as a 1982 survey of the lake.[1]
