P antigen system
P antigen system is a human blood group system based upon genes on chromosome 22. The P antigens are carbohydrate antigens that include P1, P, and Pk. The P antigen is a receptor for the human pathogen Parvovirus B19[1] and is the target of auto-anti-P IgG antibodies in paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria.[2]
