Lenard Lakofka created Osprem.
Osprem was first detailed for the Dungeons & Dragons game in the World of Greyhawk Fantasy Game Setting (1983), by Gary Gygax.[1]
Osprem was further detailed by Lenard Lakofka in Dragon #90 (1984), in the article Gods of the Suel Pantheon IV.[2]
Osprem was one of the deities described in the From the Ashes set (1992), for the Greyhawk campaign.[3]
Osprem is described as one of the good deities that celestials can serve in the supplement Warriors of Heaven (1999).[4]
Osprem is further detailed in The Scarlet Brotherhood (1999).[5]
Osprem's role in the 3rd edition Greyhawk setting was defined in the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer (2000).[6]
Her priesthood is detailed for this edition in Complete Divine (2004).[7]
Osprem is often depicted as a beautiful woman in a flowing gown, or as a dolphin, barracuda, or sperm whale. In human form, she wears a ring carved from a whale's tooth, a gift from the grandfather of all whales.
Osprem is the occasional companion of Xerbo.
According to Warriors of Heaven, Osprem's realm on the Elemental Plane of Water is called Whirlcurrents. However, Dragon #90 placed her realm in Nirvana.
