Oreobates is a frog genus of in the family Strabomantidae; it was formerly placed in the "Leptodactylidae" assemblage. Most species were formerly in the genus Ischnocnema, but was moved to this revalidated genus following a 2006 revision [1]..
These frogs are found in western Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.
