Ology
Ology is an entertainment and social media website based in New York City. It is run by Beth Haggerty and Vivian Moran, both of whom founded it.[2] The company focuses on helping users to find and share content about their interests.[3]
History
Ology consists of updated editorial content related to celebrities, fashion, film, geek culture, humor, music, politics, sports and television.[4] The company offers a social platform called my.Ology, which provides a space for users to build and engage in communities surrounding their own interests.[5] On September 21, 2011, the company announced a partnership with content production platform Skyword. The partnership migrated Ology's editorial staff to Skyword.[5]
Impact
In May 2011, Ology ranked number one in growth on comScore.[5] Ology has been cited by The American Spectator,[6] The Austin Chronicle,[7] and MTV News.[8]
