Professor Olcay Neyzi, (born July 27, 1927) is a Turkish doctor[1] and the former Director of the Department of Pediatrics, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine[2][3] (1979 – 1994). As the first author of the most comprehensive{[cn}} pediatric textbook in Turkish, she greatly contributed to improving the level of medical education in Turkey.
In collaboration with UNICEF, she organized and implemented workshops at national and regional level on topics of maternal and child health, addressing health workers of various levels.
With the sponsorship of the European Union, Olcay Neyzi initiated the Woman and Child Research and Education Unit within the hospital area of the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine.
Her two children are Mehmet Ali Neyzi and Leyla Neyzi.
