Olaf E. Simon (born 1929) is a pioneer of martial arts in Canada, as well as an entrepreneur and author.[1][2][3][4][5][6] Simon was born in Sztynort, Poland (what was part of Germany before World War II). He started his first Karate/Kung-fu school in Calgary, Canada, in 1963[7] At its height, Temple Kung Fu numbered about 13 - 16 schools across Canada and Western USA. In 2010, Olaf Simon was inducted into The Canadian Black Belt Hall Of Fame.[8] Simon has written the following books:
