SR 761 SR 763

State Route 762 (SR 762, OH 762) is an east–west state highway in central Ohio, a U.S. state. The highway has its western terminus at a signalized intersection with the duplex of U.S. Route 62 and State Route 3 just 0.25 miles (0.40 km) south of the village limits of Harrisburg. State Route 762's eastern terminus is at a signalized intersection with U.S. Route 23 approximately 3.25 miles (5.23 km) east of Commercial Point.

Route description

State Route 762 is located in the northern portion of Pickaway County. No section of this highway is included as a part of the National Highway System, a system of routes deemed to be most important for the country's economy, mobility and defense.[4]

History

The State Route 762 designation made its debut in 1937. It was established on the same alignment through northern Pickaway County between the U.S. Route 62/State Route 3 duplex and U.S. Route 23 that it utilizes today. No changes of major significance have taken place to the routing of State Route 762 since it was created.[1][2]
