State Route 295 (SR 295, OH 295) is a a north–west state highway in northwestern Ohio, a U.S. state. The southern terminus of State Route 295 is at a T-intersection with U.S. Route 24 approximately 5 miles (8.0 km) southwest of Waterville. Its northern terminus is at the Michigan State Line in Berkey. The roadway continues into the Wolverine State as county-maintained Silberhorn Highway.

Route description

State Route 295 exists only within Lucas County. No portion of this state highway is included within the National Highway System.[2]

History

Making its debut in 1932, State Route 295 was originally routed from its current eastern junction with State Route 2 to its current northern terminus at the Michigan State Line in Berkey.[3][4] One year later, the highway would be extended southward to State Route 64 on the outskirts of Whitehouse.[5] By 1935, State Route 295 was extended southward one more time, this time to its current southern terminus at U.S. Route 24.[6][7]
