The Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF) is formed around a core of public sector asset and reserve holders at the heart of world finance. OMFIF offers a confidential, convenient and discreet forum to a unique membership of central banks, sovereign funds, financial policy-makers and market participants who interact with them. OMFIF is Co-chaired by David Marsh, financial specialist and Michael Lafferty, Chairman of the Lafferty Group.
OMFIF meetings - which usually take place within central banks and other official institutions – provide an occasion for deep-seated exchanges of views by allowing both the public and private sector participants to reveal strengths and weaknesses and seek solutions for their individual problems in an open fashion.
As well as the large roundtable meetings of the core OMFIF forum, OMFIF organise a series of events for members including speeches, awards, workshops and seminars.
Articles by Malan Rietveld, Chief Economist and David Marsh, Chairman, appear in South Africa's BusinessDay[1], America's MarketWatch[2], Germany's Handelsblatt[3], and the UK's Financial Times.[4]
