Nuh is the district headquarters of the Mewat district in the Indian state of Haryana. It lies on the Delhi-Alwar highway and is about 45 kilometres from Gurgaon.The town assumed importance in the time of Bahadur Singh of Ghasera because of the trade in Salt which was manufactured in the neighbouring villages.
To the west of the town is a fine masonry tank of red sandstone with a chhatri possibly connected with the name of Chuhi Mal, adorned with beautiful floral designs. The tomb of Sheikh Musa, an exemplary structure combining the Muslim and Rajput forms of architecture, is at a distance of about 2 and a half kilometres from town. It is famous for its shaking minarets. The shaking of the minarets can be felt distinctly.
If you’re keen to go a bit further around the town of Nuh, make it a point to go the two monuments in village Kotla about 6.5 KM south of the town of Nuh. These are the mosque and the tomb of Bahadur Khan Nahir. In these buildings, red sandstone and Grey quartzite are skilfully combined in a well-built structure. Over the ruined gateway is an inscription giving the date of its building as A.D. 1392-1400.

Very few people know that various ancient monuments of historical importance are scattered in this region and need further research & attention. Some of them are;-
In the back you can see old range of Aravalli mountains across green farms. It's good to go for hiking and enjoy sunset on other side across valley and swaying yellow mustard fields.
There is also a natural reservoir in Nallad, a village 2 km from Nuh under the Aravalli Hills. The most interesting factor is that water keeps flowing out of this reservoir and it is located in the rocks of Aravalli Hills. There is also a lord Shiva temple which has a religious significance for the Hindu minority of the district. It is also claimed that Pandavas stayed there and drank the water of it during a visit in their 14 years long exile. The place is worth watchable in rainy season when the water flows down from the Aravalli Hills.
Nuh city is well connected to neighbouring states Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh by high frequency bus service. It is connected to gurgaon and alwar through a 4-lane state highway(SH 13). Night bus services are also provided by Rajasthan Roadways. Nuh is situated on the Delhi Alwar highway. A good frequent bus service is provided by Haryana and Rajasthan Roadways from ISBT Delhi. Nearest airport is IGI airport, New Delhi. Nearest railway station is Palwal (32 km) and Gurgaon (45 km).
The Delhi-Gurgaon-Alwar-Jaipur highway used to pass through Mewat until late 1960s when the new national highway (NH 8) was constructed bypassing Mewat.
