Nuffnang hosted the first Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards in Singapore on October 2009. Over 400 bloggers were invited from all over the region. There are 12 different categories for the Blog Awards:
Nominations were open to all Asia-Pacific blogs.[13]
Project Alpha is Malaysia's first online TV show revolving around bloggers. It first aired on 18 September 2009 and is hosted by Jojo Struys.[14]
