The painting is currently housed in the National Museum of Serbia in Belgrade.[1] The painting was gifted to Serbian people by Prince Paul of Yugoslavia.
The painting was stolen in 1996 by an amateur Roma thief.[2] During the theft, it was badly damaged and was recovered in afwul condition, requiring a year of restoration.
