NorgesGruppen ASA is a Norwegian corporation that operates as wholesaler and retailer within grocery stores and kiosks. It is the largest trading company in Norway, with a 36,7% market share within groceries. In 2006 it had 1,898 stores and 766 kiosks. The group dates back to 1994 when a number of major wholesalers merged to create the corporation.

Retail

The company has a number of chains related to it, both operated by the company itself and through franchise. This include Kiwi (low price grocery), Meny, Centra, Jacobs, SPAR, Ultra (all supermarkets), Helgø Matsenter (high end grocery), Joker (local stores) and Mix (kiosks).

Wholesale

The retail section is organised through the ASKO companies and Storcasher, including wholesale to the retail segment and to other major institutional clients. It includes 18,000 products and 12,000 customers organised in nine regions, 13 warehouses with the central warehouse at Vestby. Some other small retail chains use NorgesGruppen as wholesaler, including Bunnpris.
