Ningulai, also spelt Ningolai, is a village in Swat District of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. It is located at 34°51'0N 72°25'0E with an altitude of 974 metres (3198 feet).[1]

It is located at 34°51'0N 72°25'0E with an altitude of 974 metres (3198 feet).Its Google coordinates are (34.8401541 N, 72.4138069 E )This village is 13 KM north west of Mingora Swat. This village is situated on the Right bank of swat river.
Introduction:
Ningolai is a small village in Swat Valley of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is known for its natural beauty and lying in an area crossed by Alexander The Great during his invasion. Later, after the Lal Masjid massacre, Ningolai became known as sympathetic to the Taliban movement. The village consists of Yusufzai Pakhtun tribes. The village contains a small series of mountains and a jungle, residential area starting from meadows of mountains to the fields, a village market, vast land for crops, number of springs and canals, and a part of the Swat river. Famous mountains of village are Usmani Sar, Khore Rore.
Population:
There were approximately 1602 households in the village in the year 2010. and there was at least 11000 population in person in year 2011.
Geopraphical Surroundings:
In the west of village there is another village of Bara Bandai and in the north there is Shakar Dara village from shakar Dara area of Bar Swat starts. Ningolai is about 75 km from kalam, the famous tourist spot of Pakistan. On the North side of village there is a series of mountains which are connected to some other villages and finally ends the region of Swat Valley.Beyond them district of Dir starts. And on the east side lies the river Swat and across that villages of Charbagh,, Ala Abad and Dakodak and in the south there is Delay a small village at the bank of river swat.

Tehsil kabal or Nikpekhel starts from this village, this village has importance for nikpekhel because this village has canal head works for nikpekhel.
Education:
This village has one Govt high school for boys and one govt middle school for girls. Apart from this there are two public Schools i.e. Alfalah public high School.It is counted as a big school in swat vally.There all of the teacher are very intelligent Mr.Inayatullah is principal nowadays. There are 25 teachers in Alfalah Public school,names of some teachers are;
Anwar zeb sir, Bakht afsar sir, Reyaz sir,Bah rul amin sir,Rahmat ali sir,Khurshid Iqbal sir.
Health:
For the time being there is no Govt BHU or any Govt medical center. Mostly private health clinics are providing basic health services to the inhabitants of the village. There are at least seven to eight private health clinics, apart from this there are at least ten medical stores in the village.
Tourist Resort:
This village has a small hill resort know as " Chota Kalam" , There is a water spring( Chashma-Cheena) known as "Dawaye Cheena" people from far and wide use to come there(especially Skin patients) for Medication Or Medicinal Bath.
Law Enforcement:
There is one forest check post and one police post in the village for controlling smuggling and crimes.

LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES;
Law in the village is enforced by law enforcement agencies of Pakistan specially the paramilitary and army after Taliban rise in the valley. In normal circumstances both the country laws and tribal laws are in use. A person may go to a court for a dispute or he may call a jirga. but most of the disputes are settled by jirga system in the village.
Sewage and Sanitation:
A proper water drainage system and a tube well has been set up by an ngo for public welfare.
Welfare Organization:
A CBO naming " Tanzim Nawjawanan-e-Ningolai" is workig for the welfare of the villagers. this CBO is funded by the villagers. this organization is helping in resolving the various disputes amongst the villagers.they are also managing the sewerage and sanitation of the village.
Cultivated land Vs Populated Land:
At least 70 % of the total land is cultivated in 2011 and the remaining is populated or residential.
Threats:
There is one major threat, that is of no embarkment on the river side for safeguarding the agri-land and the residential area near the riverside. there was an embarkment of 1500 feet length and 6 feet width, but in the 2010 flood that embarkment was washed away by flood.
