Niewierowo [ɲɛvjɛˈrɔvɔ] (German Nipnow) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Słupsk, within Słupsk County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north of Słupsk (Stolp) and 104 km (65 mi) west of the regional capital Gdańsk (Danzig).
Before 1945 the area of Farther Pomerania, where the village is located, was part of Germany.[2][3] The village is first mentioned in a historical record of 1285, when during the era of German eastward settlement Duke Mestwin II granted the villages of Buckow, Freist and Nipnow to the monastery of Norbertine nuns in the town of Stolp. On March 8, 1945, the region was occupied by the Red Army, and after the end of World War II it was put under Polish administration. All inhabitants were expelled by the Poles. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania.
The village has a population of 68.
