Nicholas Paul Harberd FRS is a British plant scientist, and Sibthorpian Professor of Plant Science, and Fellow of St John's College, Oxford.[1]

He earned a BA with Honors, an MA, and PhD in 1981, from the University of Cambridge. He was a scientist at the Plant Breeding Institute, Cambridge from 1982 to 1986, and the University of California, Berkeley, from 1986 to 1988.
He is head of the Harberd group, which was located at John Innes Centre, and is now at Oxford.[2]
