Nichlaul

Nichlaul is a town and a nagar panchayat Tahsil in Maharajganj district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Demographics

As of 2001^[update] India census^[1], Nichlaul had a population of 15,501. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Nichlaul has an average literacy rate of 56%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 67%, and female literacy is 44%. In Nichlaul, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age.
