The Ngái (Quốc Ngữ: Người Ngái) are an Hakka ethnic group in Vietnam and other nearby countries of mainland Southeast Asia and China. The Ngái are Chinese-speaking but are classified separately from the urban ethnic Chinese or Hoa. According a official data, Ngai population is 4,841 in 1999[1] and down to 1.035 in 2009[2]
