New York City DOE Regions
In 2003, New York City schools in the New York City Department of Education were organized into ten geographical regions. Prior to this, they were grouped into 32 community school districts. Although the districts no longer existed officially, the district number was often used as an identifier.
As of June 2007, the ten regions were dissolved[1] and schools were re-organized into a variety of School Support Organizations.
Region 1
Region 1 consisted of Community School Districts (CSD) 9 and 10 located in the western part of the Bronx.
Region 2
Region 2 consisted of CSDs 8, 11, and 12 all located in the eastern part of the Bronx.
