Nevada State Museum, Carson City

The Nevada State Museum in Carson City^[1] is one of 6 Nevada State Museums operated by the Nevada Department of Cultural Affairs. The primary building of the Museum is the former Carson City Mint. The exhibits include

• The world's largest exhibited Columbian Mammoth^[2], found in the Black Rock Desert.
• The silver service from the USS Nevada^[3].

The museum also has the Spirit Cave mummy, which is the oldest North American mummy^[4].
