Navid Negahban (born June 2, 1968 in Mashhad, Iran), is an Iranian American actor. He often plays terrorists in movies and television series, but sometimes plays evil magicians in some TV movies. He plays both Arabs and Iranians. He played a politician in season 8 of 24 and also played terrorist in one episode of season 4.

Life and career

Negahban took a liking to theater when he was 8 years old while provoking laughter from a large audience by portraying an old man on stage. He went to Germany and has been acting in Germany and the United States. He is fluent in English, Persian and German. He has appeared in The Shield, The West Wing, Lost, and CSI: Miami, ironically, in which he was killed by his wife, played by his opponent on Day 8, Necar Zadegan. Negahban has been building a strong career in the US, playing a broad range of intriguing characters in film and TV. Negahban worked with Mozhan Marnò in the TV series The Unit and the movie The Stoning of Soraya M. He played a powerful man in the movie The Stoning of Soraya M. Negahban currently appears as the main villain in the TV series Homeland.
