Nas'Naga

Nas'Naga (born 1941) is the pen-name of Shawnee writer Roger Russell. He was the fourth writer published in the Harper & Row Native American Publishing series.

His only novel, Indians' Summer (1975), depicts a revolution of most Native American and First Nations tribes against the US and Canadian colonial governments. The tribes are aided in this effort by the Mughal government of India.

Russell published two volumes of poetry under the name Nas'Naga, after which he returned to work as a community activist.

Of Scots and Shawnee descent, Russell lives in Columbus, Ohio.
