Nairobi Java House is a chain of coffee houses and exporters with its head office in ABC Place in Nairobi, Kenya,[1] founded in 1999. Along with Dorman's Coffee, the other major chain in the city, it is one of the few places where one can find "export-quality" Kenyan coffee brewed and served in the region.[2]The chain is known for its variety of Kenyan coffees and teas, home baked bread, Mexican cuisine, and free wireless Internet access, which are unusual in the area.[3][4]
Starting from the first cafe on Ngong Road, Nairobi Java House has 12 locations as of mid-2011, including the Sarit Centre in the Westlands (the biggest location), Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, the University of Nairobi, the ABC shopping complex, the Adams Arcade, the Yaya Centre, and Gigiri Street (by the UN buildings).
