Musocco is a district ("quartiere") of Milan, Italy, part of the Zone 8 administrative division of the city, located north-west of the centre in the direction of Varese. The prominent structure of the district is the Cimitero Maggiore (also known as "Cimitero di Musocco"), Milan's largest cemetery. Before being annexed to Milan (in 1923) it was an autonomous comune.

History

Musocco existed at least since the 12th century. In 1869, several adjacent comunes (Garegnano, Boldinasco, Villa Pizzone, Cassina Triulza and Roserio) were annexed to Musocco, which in turn became part of Milan in 1923.
