Mopa is a town in Nigeria. It is the headquarters of the Mopa-Muro Local Government Area in Kogi State. Local industries include Mopa Breweries and two marble quarries.[1][2] Mopa has a state-run Government Technical College.[3]
Sunday Awoniyi, the chairman of the Arewa Consultative Forum, was Aro (traditional ruler) of Mopa.[4] Brigadier General Samuel Teidi also hails from Mopa.[5] Chief Duro Adeyele, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) is another distinguished indigene.[6]
Mopa people are hard working they are very good at farming Mopa has a traditional ruler who is popularly called the 'Elulu of Mopa'.
