Moond is a clan of Jats found in the States of Rajasthan and Haryana in India. Ramesh Chandra Gunarthi in his book “Rajasthani Jatiyon ki khoj” (1977) has mentioned about the origin of this gotra. One of the sons of Raja Mangal Rao Bhojsi of Bhati clan was Moonda who joined Jats. The descendants of Moonda are known as Moond. The capital of Moond Kings was at village Mandore in Jodhpur district. Other places connected with the history of Moonds are villages Munda (Churu district), Mundsar (Bikaner district), Mundara (Pali district), Mandawa (Jhunjhunu district), Mundwa (Nagaur district) etc. in Rajasthan, India.
Moond Jats are presently found in district Sikar, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Barmer and Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan and Hisar and Fatehabad in Haryana.
