According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 19.6 square miles (50.9 km²), all of it land.
As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 148 people, 51 households, and 39 families residing in the town. The population density was 7.5 people per square mile (2.9/km²). There were 52 housing units at an average density of 2.6 per square mile (1.0/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 95.27% White and 4.73% African American.
There were 51 households out of which 35.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.7% were married couples living together, and 23.5% were non-families. 17.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.90 and the average family size was 3.31.
In the town the population was spread out with 27.0% under the age of 18, 12.8% from 18 to 24, 24.3% from 25 to 44, 23.0% from 45 to 64, and 12.8% who were 65 years of age or older.
