Mobonix, born as Mohammed Kabir, is an American rap artist and hip hop producer of Bangladeshi descent, and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston.[1] He released his debut The Mickey Finn Special on April 11, 2007. The EP reflects his life experiences which includes the United States Marine Corps.[2] His first single, What Chu Wanna Do? is included on the American Pie Presents: Beta House soundtrack in 2007. The same song, What Chu Wanna Do?, is also featured in The CW Television Network's television show Reaper in the 2008 episode Acid Queen.[3]

In November 2008, Mobonix released The Infection which reached top thirty hip hop albums sold on itunes. Mobonix also breaks from his original style by singing entirely on the song Cry which was co-produced by Cameron Wallace who is known for producing multi-platinum songs such as Upgrade U for Beyoncé Knowles.[4]

Mobonix has also been known to dabble in acting in movies alongside actors such as Kal Penn of Harold & Kumar fame.[5]
