The Ministry of East African Cooperation (MEAC) is the government ministry responsible for coordinating Tanzania's political, economic, military, social and cultural relations with the other countries of East Africa, primarily Kenya and Uganda. The Ministry works with the East African Community, an organization which includes the East African Development Bank, on matters of regional importance.[1]
The Ministry was created in 2006 by an act of parliament; its offices are located in Dar es Salaam.[2] Tanzania's current Minister for East African Cooperation is Hon. Dr. Diodorus Buberwa Kamala.[3]
