Minami-Furuya Station (南古谷駅 Minami-Furuya-eki ) is a railway station in Kawagoe, Saitama, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East).[1]

Minami-Furuya Station is served by the Kawagoe Line between Kawagoe and Ōmiya, and is located 12.4 km from Ōmiya.[2] The majority of services continue beyond Ōmiya on the Saikyō Line to Shinjuku and Shin-Kiba. In the morning peak, some eastbound trains towards Tokyo and some westbound trains toward Komagawa and Hachiōji start from this station, as it is located close to Kawagoe Depot. Services operate every 20 minutes during the daytime.[3]
The station consists of one side platform and one island platform serving three tracks.[2]

Minami-Furuya Station opened on 22 July 1940.[1] The line was electrified on 30 September 1985, from which date through-running began to and from the Saikyō Line.
In fiscal 2010, the station was used by an average of 7,837 passengers daily.[4]
