Million+

Million+, formerly known as the Campaign for Mainstream Universities (CMU) is the membership group of 26 UK universities incorporated post-1992 and university colleges. Many have long histories as colleges and subsequently polytechnics.

Formed in 1997 as the Coalition of Modern Universities, it changed its name in 2004. In November 2007 the organisation was rebranded with the name Million+.^[1][2][3]

Million+ is now a university think-tank, seeking to solve complex problems in the higher education sector. It is involved in the political debate about the role and contribution of universities to the economy and society.

The group is chaired by Professor Les Ebdon CBE. The Chief Executive is Pam Tatlow.
