The Millburn Township Public Schools are a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in prekinderagrten through twelfth grade from Millburn, in Essex County, New Jersey, United States.

As of the 2007-08 school year, the district's seven schools had an enrollment of 4,664 students and 314.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.9.[1]

Awards and recognition

During the 2007-08 school year, Millburn School was recognized with the Blue Ribbon School Award of Excellence by the United States Department of Education[3][4], the highest award an American school can receive.[5][6]

The high school was recently ranked as Number 148 in Newsweek Magazine's listing of "America's Best High Schools" in the August 5, 2005 issue.[7] Millburn High School was ranked third of 316 New Jersey public high schools in New Jersey Monthly magazine's September 2006 cover story on the state's Top Public High Schools.[8]

The district was selected as one of the top "100 Best Communities for Music Education in America 2006" by the American Music Conference.[9]
