Miguel Palanca Fernández (born 18 December 1987 in Tarragona, Catalonia) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Elche CF mainly as a right winger - he can also play as a forward.

Football career

A product of RCD Espanyol's youth ranks, Palanca played once for the first team in 2006–07, then spent the following season solely with the B squad. His La Liga debut came on 29 April 2007, as he replaced Albert Riera during the second half of a 1–3 loss at Sevilla FC.

Subsequently, Palanca was sold to Real Madrid. On Saturday 13, December 2008, he made his debut for the first team against FC Barcelona, coming on as a first-half substitute for Wesley Sneijder, in a 0–2 away loss. Again from the bench, he helped the side beat Valencia CF one week later, at the Santiago Bernabéu (1–0).

For 2009–10, Palanca was loaned to CD Castellón, in the second division. The following year, after Castellón's relegation, he signed a two-year contract with another side in that level, Elche CF, with Real Madrid having a option to re-buy on any given period during that timeframe.[1]
