Microsporum audouinii is a species of fungus in the genus Microsporum.

It is associated with the disease known as tinea, an infection of keratinized tissues like epidermis, hair and nails. Specific primers have been developed to assist in the rapid diagnostic identification of this species in clinical samples using PCR fingerprinting.[1]

It can fluoresce under Wood's lamp.[2]
