Michael Javier Ortega Dieppa (born in Palmar de Varela, Atlántico, on April 6, 1991) is a Colombian footballer. He currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen.[1]
Ortega can play as creative midfielder. He joined Deportivo Cali as youth and rose to the professional team.
On March 7, 2009, he made his debut to the senior team. At only 17 years, he played the first 68 minutes of the game against Junior.
On August 4, 2009, he made his debut in the Copa Sudamericana. He was starter against Universidad de Chile.
On July 10, 2010, the Mexican soccer club Atlas signed Ortega.
In January 2011, Ortega traveled with the U-20 Colombian National team to Peru where they took part in the 2011 South America's Under-20 tournament.
On August 17, 2011, Ortega was signed by Bayer 04 Leverkusen on a loan deal.
