Meheri (var. Mehri,[1] Mahri or Mahra (Arabic: مهري), also known as Arab Salah[1] (Somali: Carab Saalax), is one of the largest tribes inhabiting the Al Mahrah Governorate in Yemen, Somalia,[1] and other Arabian countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
Meheri people who inhabit Somalia belong to the Bin Neebir sub-clan (Mohamud Salah, Hassan Salah, Omar Musse), as well as the Bin Mashowle (Reer Cali Siciid, Reer Canshuur), Bin Jidxi (Reer Cawad, Reer Taabid), Bin Cantun and Bin Cafreer. They primarily reside in the northeastern Puntland, Galmudug, Somaliland and also lives some region like Hiiraan, Jubbada Hoose, Banadir, Galguduud
