Meheri (var. Mehri,[1] Mahri or Mahra (Arabic: مهري), also known as Arab Salah[1] (Somali: Carab Saalax), is one of the largest tribes inhabiting the Al Mahrah Governorate in Yemen, Somalia,[1] and other Arabian countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
Meheri people who inhabit Somalia belong to the Bin Neebir sub-clan (Mohamud Salah, Hassan Salah, Omar Musse), as well as the Bin Mashowle (Reer Cali Siciid, Reer Canshuur), Bin Jidxi (Reer Cawad, Reer Taabid), Bin Cantun and Bin Cafreer.
