Megalithomania

Megalithomania is an annual conference about prehistoric culture held at the Glastonbury Assembly Rooms, Glastonbury in England.[1] It was named after the book by John Michell of the same name[2] and organized by Hugh Newman, Gareth Mills and John Martineau. In late 2005 they concluded that Megaliths were being overlooked at conferences in Britain. They then set about creating the ultimate conference about these ancient sites and brought together a multidisciplinary array of speakers on various aspects of Megalithic science. Notable speakers have included John Michell, Graham Hancock, David Hatcher Childress, Gordon Hillman, Michael Tellinger, John Major Jenkins, Robert Bauval, Robert K. G. Temple and Paul Devereux. Megalithic art is displayed and visits to such locations as Stanton Drew, Stonehenge and Avebury have been organized.[3][4] This year Megalithomania is also being held om March 12 and March 13, 2011 at the Linder Auditorium, Ice Campus, Parktown in Johannesburg, South Africa.[5] It will be held in Glastonbury again on the 14th and 15 May 2011. Lectures are often captured on video and distributed around the internet. The latest Megalithomania in South Africa has employed live streaming.
