Matthew Klam

Matthew Klam (born 1964) is an American short-story writer and essayist. The New Yorker named him one of the 25 best fiction writers under 40, and he has won a Guggenheim fellowship[1], a Robert Bingham/PEN Award[2], a National Endowment of the Arts[3], a Whiting Writer's Award[4] and an O. Henry Award[5]. His work appears in a variety of magazines, including The New Yorker, Esquire, GQ, Harper's, Nerve, and The New York Times Magazine.

Klam graduated from Hollins College and the University of New Hampshire. He teaches at Johns Hopkins University.
