International Students

By more effectively managing status information on international students and exchange visitors in the United States, SEVIS plays a key role in ICE’s homeland security mission while ensuring that all eligible international students and exchange visitors can experience the benefits of America’s exceptional schools, educational programs, and cultural opportunities. It took two years for Matlock Academy to receive this approval.

Homeschool Program

The Homeschool program is over 20 years old and is separate from the day school program. Students receive specific instruction for the homeschool program and one on one tutoring. Some families choose to homeschool their children due to religious beliefs, while others choose to do so because of dissatisfaction with other educational options. Many parents of children with disabilities choose to homeschool because they feel more prepared to meet the needs of their child. Regardless of the reason, homeschooling has become popular in many countries, especially the United States.

Summer School

Students usually attend Summer School for enrichment purposes, making up a grade, or accelerating their current education. A student wishing to graduate earlier than their prescribed date may take credits in summer school to achieve this goal. The summer school has been opened to any high school student in Palm Beach County.
