Mark Wallington (born 1953 Swanage) is an author and broadcaster, perhaps most famous for his humorous "Boogie" travelogues,[1] both memorably serialised on BBC Radio Four. After leaving school, Wallington worked as a jobbing gardener[2] before embarking on a career as a journalist and scriptwriter, his first credit being for Not the Nine O'Clock News.[3] In addition to his radio successes he has also written many works for television.[4] His latest commission is a dramatisation of Gervase Phinn’s Over Hill and Dale.
Mark married his wife, Catherine Parker in 2006. They have two children, Francis and Daniel.
