Mark Gurman is an American blogger and Apple enthusiast. Gurman is currently Senior Editor and Ace Reporter at 9to5Mac.[1] In addition to blogging, Mark has created several applications for Apple's iOS, which are currently available in the Apple App Store.[2] Throughout his career at 9to5Mac, Mark has broken many stories which have caused waves in the Apple community, and all over the web.[3] Most notably, in a post on 9toMac, he correctly revealed [1] many key details surrounding Apple's then yet to be released smartphone, the iPhone 4S.

9to5Mac

Mark Gurman officially joined the 9to5Mac team in December 2009. Even after garnering a reasonable amount of success from his iPhone applications,[4] he had not yet broken into the public eye as a prominent figure in the Apple community. His experiences at 9to5Mac however, allowed him to propel to the forefront of the Apple blogosphere. In the past two years, he has broken many stories which have greatly shaped and influenced the Apple community. Much of his work at 9to5Mac is often shared and reposted around the web, spreading his influence and credibility as a writer.

Much of Gurman's work for 9to5Mac has gone viral online, causing quite a stir in many cases. Many of his biggest stories have come in the last year, including when he correctly revealed many of the details of Apple's then to be released smartphone, the iPhone 4S.[5] He also exposed [2] to the public many of Apple's internal policies,[6] as well as breaking [3] the news that the iPad 2 would come in white.[7]

iPhone/iPod touch Work

Gurman first became involved with writing iPhone software in the middle of 2009, and focuses on writing several applications while he is on school breaks.

He became well-known on his release of You Are Rich, a mimic of Armin Heinrich's I Am Rich application.[8] He is also responsible for popular applications such as Air Horn for iPhone, and the Can You Hear It? Series of apps.
