Mara Mather is a cognitive psychologist and gerontologist who studies memory, emotion, decision making and aging at the USC Davis School of Gerontology.[1] In 2005, she received the Springer Early Career Achievement Award in Research on Adult Development and Aging.[2] In 2007, she received the Richard Kalish Innovative Publication Award form the Gerontological Society of America.[3] Mather's recent research projects have included work on how older adults interpret positive stimuli[4] as well as how stress influences older adults' decision making processes.[5]
