Manuel Muñoz (writer)

Manuel Muñoz (born March 4, 1972 Dinuba, California) is an American short story writer.

Life

He grew up in Dinuba, California. He graduated from Harvard University and Cornell University with an MFA.[1] He teaches at the University of Arizona.[2]

His work appeared in the New York Times, Rush Hour, Swink, Epoch, Glimmer Train, Edinburgh Review, and Boston Review.

He lives in Tucson.

In England on a book tour in 2011, Muñoz was in Tottenham delivering a talk entitled "Writing While Arizonan," and was caught up in the Tottenham Riots along with many others including the musician Mark Morrison. Like Morrison, Muñoz angrily denied taking part, but unlike Morrison, he was not convicted. [3]
