Mamqan (Persian: ممقان; also Romanized as Mamqān, Māmāgān, and Mamaqān) [1] is a city in and the capital of Mamqan District, in Azarshahr County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 10,872, in 3,258 families.[2]
