Mahuda

Mahuda is a town and a Railway station is Dhanbad district of Jharkhand State of India.

Mahuda is a village cum town in Baghmara Tehsil in Dhanbad District in Jharkhand State . Mahuda is 13 km far from its Tehsil Main Town Baghmara . Mahuda is located at distance of 19.2 km from Jharia and 27.4 km distance from its District Main City Dhanbad.[1][2]

Mahuda is in famous Jharia coal mining belt a has collieries and also a coal washery belonging to Bharat Coking Coal Limited, which forms the back bone of economy of the town and surrounding areas.

Mahuda also has a Railway station originally built for coal mining purpose managed by Eastern Railway. The station code in MHQ. Mahuda is located on one end of Chota Nagpur Plateau.
