The discography of MGMT, a Connecticut-based indie rock group, consists of two studio albums, two extended plays and eight singles. Formerly known as The Management, the duo's earliest recordings (2004–2005) included one demo album and one non-studio recorded EP. Upon establishing a label with NYU graduates' independent Cantora Records in 2004, the duo became MGMT and released their second EP that included three of their earlier tracks. As MGMT, they signed with Columbia Records and released their first studio album, Oracular Spectacular, in October 2007. Gradually, with early 2008 TV appearances and the song "Time to Pretend" being picked up by some TV shows and film trailers, MGMT grew in popularity. Three singles from the album and one non-album single were officially released in 2008. Their second studio album, Congratulations, was released in April 2010.
